According to Ryan Estrada, a spokesperson for the Coast Guard, both men were aboard the boat, which sank after the incident. The Coast Guard later tweeted that the sunken vessel had been recovered and taken away. Three crew members on the ferry boat are "fine," according to Estrada.

Initially, the North and South channels of the port were closed, causing delays for various ships, including cruise ships, in terms of their arrival and loading. However, PortMiami has since resumed regular operation.

"Due to a waterway navigation incident on Sunday, the PortMiami channel is closed. The closure will affect passengers' arrival time and debarkation on Carnival Celebration, MSC Seascape, and NCL Escape," PortMiami said in a tweet Sunday morning.
